EXCITED program

The EXCITED 4 Careers in Agriculture program was developed by CQUniversity through a National Careers Institute Partnership grant to support K–10 students' exploration of agricultural careers. Using Holland's RIASEC model, students explored their own career interests and how these align to a variety of agricultural careers. Hands-on classroom activities covered realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional tasks highlighting the diverse and rewarding jobs that exist on-farm and throughout the supply chain. The RIASEC model brought career development to life within the classroom curriculum, connecting subjects and skill development to the world of agricultural work
